Description

This is a control cable to be used on a lawnmower. As one of the lawnmower's most important pieces, this cable has the vital job of quickly shutting off the mower's motor and blade when the handle is released. Over time, the control cable will begin to stretch and may affect the mower's ability to start, as the cable will not engage properly. This piece must be in good working condition to ensure the safety of the user and bystanders, as well as the ability to quickly avoid any obstacles.This control cable is a simple fix and is easily removed and installed. Before replaceing the control cable, make sure the lawnmower is cool. Next, unplug the spark plug to prevent the engine from starting. Disconnect the upper end of the old control cable, and detach the cable from the handlebar. Users will need pliers to squeeze and release the cable from the stop lever and disconnect the lower end of the cable from the lawnmower. Finally, rotate the cable support to fully remove it from the machine. Repeat all of these steps in reverse order to install the new cable. This is a genuine OEM replacement part and is sold individually. It is compatible with select Craftsman lawnmowers.
