Description

This upper chute assembly is part of a riding lawnmower bagging system. As the grass is mowed, it is pulled up and through the upper chute, where it is deposited in the grass bag. This is an OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. If the upper chute has become damaged due to age or exposure to the elements, this part should be installed to repair the lawnmower.If the upper chute is damaged, grass clippings may not be fully bagged. Cracks in the chute can reduce efficiency, and some of the clippings may remain on the ground or eventually clog the tube. If the bag doesn't appear to be catching clippings after mowing, the upper chute assembly should be inspected. To repair the upper chute assembly, remove the machine's bagger and locate the damaged upper chute. Remove the damaged upper chute and dispose of it. Install the new upper chute and replace the mower bag. This upper chute assembly is a black plastic molded part that is sold individually. It is designed for use on lawnmowers manufactured by MTD and Craftsman.
