Description

This is an upper chute assembly for a lawnmower.The grass clippings are forced up through the lower chute to the upper chute tube and pushed into the bagging system. The lower chute is a molded plastic part that may deteriorate over time due to exposure to the elements and having dirt and debris forced through it at high speed. If the trimmings are not making it to the bag, the upper chute should be inspected and replaced if necessary.The mower will work without the upper chute in place; however, the grass clippings and debris will not be bagged and will accumulate on the lawn. These piles of clippings can kill the grass underneath if not removed. If the upper chute breaks during use, replace it as soon as possible and run over the trimmed lawn a second time to pick up the clippings.
