Description

This is a genuine OEM chute deflector that is made for use with select lawn mowers and tractors. The chute deflector plays an integral part in keeping the machine running and keeping the user safe. It is designed to deflect the grass clippings and any debris out and away from the blades and the engine of the unit while ensuring that they do not fly back and hit the operator. Although it is made of durable plastic, the chute deflector is known to become damaged over the lifetime of the use of the mower unit. The screws that attach it to the deck could become lost or damaged, which could lead to the chute becoming damaged, as well. It could also be damaged by hitting a stump or rock. In any case, the deflector will need to be replaced before the unit can be safely operated. This genuine OEM replacement will do the job, and is designed to exact standards by MTD.
