Description

This exhaust piping is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer; it is used on tiller engines and other small engines. The exhaust piping is part of the muffler system. It connects to the exhaust manifold. As gas is combusted to run the engine, it is forced out through the exhaust manifold and the exhaust piping. This process heats the pipes for a short period. Over a period of time, this repeated heating can cause the exhaust piping to deteriorate. If this happens, the piping will need to be replaced in order for the exhaust manifold to function correctly. If the engine is experiencing overheating problems, the exhaust pipes will need to be replaced when it is fixed. Overheating will cause them to deteriorate much faster than normal.Allow the engine and exhaust manifold to cool before replacing the exhaust piping. Remove the exhaust pipes from the exhaust manifold. Inspect the manifold for visible signs of damage while the pipes are off. This would be a good time to replace the exhaust manifold gasket. Install the new pipes. The exhaust piping is made of durable black plastic and sold as an individual unit. It is compatible with tillers, chipper shredders, snowblowers, and other small engines manufactured by Cub Cadet, MTD, Troy-Bilt, and Yard Machines.
