Description

This oil filter is an OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on lawn mowers and lawn tractors. The oil filter removes contaminants from the oil that accumulates over time from the dirt and debris flying around when the grass is cut. If the oil filter becomes clogged, the engine won't have enough power to operate correctly, the engine may sputter, or there may be smoke coming from the exhaust. The oil filter should be checked every time the oil is changed and any time there are symptoms of a dirty air filter. The oil filter does not require tools to remove and replace. However, the engine should be cool and the key and spark plug removed for safety. Park the lawnmower on a flat surface and locate the oil filter. The filter is threaded. Turn it to remove the oil filter from the lawnmower. Dispose of the old filter. Screw the new filter in and return the spark plug. Start the engine and look for smoke or any signs that there is oil coming out.This oil filter is a yellow metallic part that is sold individually.
