Description

This is a dual cable fitting, designed to work with snowblowers. The cable fitting holds the auger cable in place, ensuring that it does not become a safety issue. The cable simply runs through the fitting, and the part holds it in place. Cable fittings are made from durable plastic and are not moving parts. However, they can suffer damage in several different ways. Plastic becomes brittle over time and through exposure to the elements, and the fitting may eventually crack and break. It is also possible to damage the fitting through contact with a hard surface while using the snowblower. Replacing a dual cable fitting is not difficult, although it will require a socket set. Locate the fitting on the handle of the snowblower and remove the mounting bolt(s). Remove the fitting and replace it with the new one. Be careful that the cables are properly routed inside the new fitting, then replace the mounting bolt(s). This is a genuine OEM part, and it is sold individually.
