Description

This is MTD drive system fluid. Drive system fluid is designed for hydrostatic lawnmowers. These types of lawnmowers use hydrostatic pumps to use oil that moves through the pistons in the hydrostatic drive system. Hydrostatic mowers allow users to operate through a wide range of speeds instead of changing through preset gears. Typically, these mowers have more power and speed than regular mowers. Checking the dipstick or sight glass marker can indicate whether it's time to add more drive system fluid. The drive system fluid should be changed every 1,200 hours of drive-time. Remove the drain plug for the transmission system. Allow the old fluid to drain into a pan. After the fluid drains, remove the transmission sump screen and clean it. Replace the main hydraulic filter, and fill the reservoir to the recommended level written in the owner's manual. Let the mower run for about five minutes before using it to cut a full lawn.This product should only be used with Cub Cadet lawn tractors. No other parts or components are included with this product.
