Description
This is a genuine MTD fuel cap replacement made for use on select snowblowers. It features a molded gasket for secure sealing and less risk of losing parts. The fuel cap is responsible for securing the fuel in the fuel tank during operation so that it doesn't spill out. There is an air hole in the cap to prevent pressurization of the fuel, ensuring safe operation at all times. This cap is made of plastic and it can become cracked or stripped with regular use. If it is damaged, the fuel will not be secure and the machine will not be safe to use. That will require an immediate replacement. This OEM fuel cap is made to exact standards by MTD and is compatible with several models of snow blowers and snow throwers. It is also capable of fitting select models from Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, Cub Cadet, Yard-Man, and Husky. It features an easy plastic grip and a seal to prevent spillage. It can be installed with no tools and is sold as an individual unit. It is easy to screw the new cap into place, but be sure to thread the screw properly to prevent accidental stripping or misthreading that can cause the cap to get stuck.
