Description

This is an external gasket kit that comes with a variety of gaskets that are used in log splitters made by Cub Cadet and MTD. The kit includes an oil drain plug washer, a carburetor insulator plate, an exhaust pipe gasket, a carburetor insulator gasket, a valve cover gasket, a carburetor gasket, and two carburetor gasket kits. If these parts start to wear out, it can cause leaking of fuel, oil, or air. If the parts aren't replaced, worn-out gaskets can create engine problems and the log splitter may not start or run.A socket wrench and a screwdriver will be needed to replace any of the gaskets in the log splitter. Put the log splitter in the off position and place it on a stable surface before disconnecting the spark plug wire. Depending on the location of the faulty gasket, the engine or carburetor may need to be removed to replace the part.
