Description

This OEM replacement part is a blade guard assembly. The blade guard assembly is the plastic piece attached to the side of a lawnmower which directs the grass outward away from the motor. With regular use, a blade guard will eventually begin to wear down. If the blade guard is cracked or broken in a way where it no longer attaches to the mower, it will need to be replaced. Luckily replacing a blade guard is a very simple repair.To replace the blade guard, simply pop the old guard out of its mounting attachment by pulling up and pushing it off of the mower. Once removed, snap the new blade guard into its mounting brackets and make sure it is locked in place. Once secured, it is ready to for use.This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with MTD brand lawnmowers.
