Description

This steering drag is an authentic OEM replacement part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on riding lawnmowers and tractors. It connects the steering wheel and shaft assembly to the front tires for steering the mower. If the steering drag is damaged, the direction the wheels go when the steering wheel is turned will not be correct. If the drag is broken, the wheel will not turn when the steering wheel is turned, and the drag will need to be replaced. Before starting, remove the spark plug for safety and park the mower on a flat surface and note the angle of the wheels. Open the hood. Pop the center of the steering wheel out with a flathead screwdriver. Loosen the nut under the spindle associated with the wheel that is crooked. Remove the nut from the steering spindle that was loosened. Take the drag arm off the spindle and spin it to release it from the tie rod. Install the new steering drag and reverse the steps to reassemble the lawnmower. This steering drag is a silver metal part that is sold individually.
