Description

This hood pivot pin is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on lawnmowers to hold the hood onto the machine. The pin allows the hood to pivot so that the engine can be accessed without having to remove the hood completely. The hood pivot pin may become damaged or lost in the lawnmower's lifespan. If the pivot pin is missing, the hood won't be secure and could fall off the machine if the mower were to be operated without the pin. No tools are required to remove and replace the hood pivot pin. Pull the pivot pin out of the hood hinge slot. If the pin doesn't come out easily, a rubber mallet can be used to ping it out. Line the new pin up with the holes in the hood and push it until it is secure. If the fit is too tight to push, tap it lightly with a rubber mallet.
