Description

This is a genuine replacement stabilizer plate designed to be compatible with riding lawn mowers. This stabilizer plate attaches to the front steering gear assembly to prevent unwanted movement in the steering wheel and ensures the delicate steering components are secure. Though small, it is essential in keeping the steering assembly attached and the wheels able to turn.This stabilizer plate is made of durable steel. However, through normal wear and tear or exposure to the elements, the stabilizer plate can fail causing issues with steering ability. Repair is not difficult but can be time consuming due to the disassembly required to access the part. The mower's deck will need to be removed, as well as the transmission pulley gear. Once those are removed, the console will need to be taken apart to remove the drive shaft and gear.This stabilizer plate is compatible with MTD, Troy-Bilt, and Yard Machines.
