Description

The primer bulb is a small plastic piece that will draw fuel from the fuel reservoir and into the carburetor when it is pressed down. This ensures that the fuel can get into the carburetor so that combustion can happen in the engine. If the primer bulb is broken or damaged on the engine, it will mean that the carburetor will not be getting the fuel it needs to get the engine to start. In some cases, the engine might not start at all. Other times, it might take a while to get the engine to start. These could indicate that it is time to replace the bulb.
