Description

This is a replacement idler pulley that is designed for use in select models of tractors. The idler pulley is responsible for helping provide tension and guiding the belt that connects the crankshaft to the engine. This durable flat pulley is subject to repetitive motion and excessive vibrations, so it can become worn or damaged with regular use. It may also be damaged due to impact or at the fault of another component. Belts should be inspected regularly and that's a good time to inspect the pulley, as well. If the pulley is damaged, a replacement will be necessary before the engine will operate safely, if at all. This genuine OEM part will provide an exact fit for compatible machines from MTD, Yard Machines, Yard-Man, Husky, and Cub Cadet. The pulley is sold individually. It will require a wrench or socket set to replace. Be sure to disconnect power to the machine before performing repairs and use caution when removing belts as the high tension can cause injuries if not properly released. Wear gloves to protect the hands, as well.
