Description

This rim is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on lawn mowers and lawn tractors to hold the wheel. This is the rim only and does not include the wheel. During the normal course of lawn care, the rim may become damaged from rocks and other debris in the path of the mower. If the tire is not damaged and does not need replacing, it can be removed from the rim and placed on this replacement rim. Park the lawnmower on a flat surface and use a block or jack to raise the mower on the side that needs the new rim. Remove the keys so that the engine cannot be started. Remove the nut holding the wheel assembly on the shaft and take the wheel assembly off. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry the wheel off of the damaged rim. Insert the rim in the new wheel and use a wooden dowel to slide the wheel around the rim and seat it. Put the wheel assembly back on the lawnmower and lower the mower. This rim is a white metal part that is sold as an individual unit. It is designed for use on lawn mowers and lawn tractors manufactured by MTD and Yard Machines.
