Description

This is a lawn mower rim assembly designed for lawn tractors and riding lawn mowers. Rims are crucial for movement of the mower/ tractor. They rotate around axles and hold the rubber tires in place as the user drives the machinery. The rim assembly is a reliable part made of durable metal. However, prolonged exposure to water may lead to corrosion. Wear and tear caused by the weight exerted by the machine's body is also possible.Replacing a rim assembly is a simple procedure requiring clippers, a tire iron set, and tire lubricant. First, clip the old valve stem to release air from the tire. Then break the bead around the tire. Once one side is free, flip the tire over and continue on the other side. Once both sides are free, grease up one side and use the tire iron to pull the tire over the rim until it comes over the rim. Continue on the other side until the tire is completely off the rim. Use the tire iron once again to pry the tire back over the rim. Once mounted, the tire will be ready to be filled with air.This is a genuine OEM replacement rim assembly and it is sold individually. It is compatible with Cub Cadet and MTD models.
