Description

This genuine OEM replacement front adjustable deck rod is used on lawnmowers and tractors. The front of the cutting deck on the lawnmower or tractor is supported by an adjustable deck rod that stabilizes the deck. This rod may be adjusted to level the deck from front to back. It is suggested the front of the deck should be slightly lower than the rear of the deck. Through normal wear and tear on the mower, and frequent adjustment of the deck, this deck rod may wear and break. If the rod does break, the deck will become unlevel causing an uneven cut of your yard. The rod will then need to be replaced. Replacing the deck support rod is an intermediate-level job that will require the use of a socket wrench, as well as needle nose pliers. Before attempting to install the new support rod, the lawnmower will need to be parked on sturdy and ground. It may also be necessary to remove the fuel tank so the deck rod bracket can be accessed. Work gloves should be worn to complete this project in order to protect the user's hands.
