Description

This oil seal is found in many different lawn and garden machines on the gearbox, including garden tillers. It is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is designed to prevent water, dirt, and other pollutants from getting inside the gearbox and causing damage or poor performance. The seal also ensures that oil doesn't leak from equipment. Normal wear and tear reduces the functionality of the seals and reduces engine performance as well as causing oil leaks. The oil seal should be inspected and replaced as part of routine maintenance. This repair takes approximately one hour. A socket set and seal pull are needed. Remove the spark plug wire before working on the equipment. Place tiller on a flat surface and jack up the rear tines. Take the rear tines, wheels, and tires off the machine. Clean the shafts to remove dirt and debris buildup. Remove the damaged seals and clean the part before installing new seals.
