Description

This oil seal is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on lawnmowers and lawn tractors. The oil seal is part of the engine assembly that seals the bearing which the crankshaft goes through to spin the blades on the mower. If the mower is not running efficiently or losing power, the oil seal could be damaged and need to be replaced. If the lawn mower is leaking oil from the underside, the oil seal should be replaced before the engine is damaged, causing much more extensive repairs to be required. Before replacing the oil seal, make sure the engine is cool, and the lawnmower is parked on a flat surface. Remove the key from the ignition and drain the fuel from the gas tank. Drain the oil from the lawnmower and remove the engine. Use pliers and a flathead screwdriver to remove the old oil seal. Place the new oil seal on the mower and use a soft hammer to tap it in place. Reassemble the lawnmower and fill the oil and gas. This oil seal is sold individually. It is designed for use in lawnmowers and lawn tractors manufactured by MTD and Cub Cadet.
