Description

This replacement OEM part is an engine shroud for lawnmowers. Also known as an engine cover, this is the plastic piece that covers the engine of a push lawnmower. Over time, an engine cover can become cracked or damaged, and can no longer properly cover the engine. If the engine cover is damaged to the point where it is no longer performing its essential function, it will need to be replaced. Luckily replacing the cover is a very easy repair. To replace the engine shroud, simply locate the mounting brackets that snap the cover into its place. Using a flathead screwdriver, pry the cover off of its secured position, and set it to the side. Take the new cover and snap it into its brackets over the engine. Make sure the cover is secure and that it is fully attached to the lawnmower. This genuine replacement part is compatible with MTD brand lawnmowers.
