Description

This genuine OEM replacement 54-inch deck skirt is used on a riding lawnmower and tractor with a deck span of 54-inches. By installing a deck skirt, or baffle onto the mower, it will increase the airflow under the deck. The benefit of having better airflow is that it makes it easier for the grass and clippings to either be sucked into the bagger or to be better distributed as mulched across your lawn. Another benefit that adding a skirt to the mower's deck is that it will prevent grass from clumping and getting stuck to the bottom of the deck and clogging it up. On occasion, rocks and other debris shooting out of the mower's deck can cause the skirt to become damaged, and in some cases, it will need to be replaced. Installing the 54-inch replacement desk skirt is a fairly easy job and should be able to be accomplished by a beginner. The installation will require a socket wrench in order to bolt the skirting to the outside of the mower's deck. This 54-inch skirt deck is compatible with MTD, Troy-Bilt, Yard-Man.
