Description

This extension spring is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on lawnmowers. The extension spring is part of the idler pulley system that allows the idler pulley bracket to pivot when turning blades on and off. If the spring is broken or warped, the mower deck will not function properly, and the lawn mower will not function at its best. The deck will not move up and down and may be stuck in one position. If this occurs, the extension spring should be replaced.Make sure the lawnmower has not been used recently. Wear safety gloves when working on the mower. Remove the spark plug and key from the lawnmower. Place the lawnmower on a flat surface. Locate the spring under the deck and use the diagram in the manual to remove the spring. Install the new spring and reverse the process to put the mower back together. Reinstall the spark plug.
