Description
This throttle linkage spring is typically attached to the throttle cable, although it may be attached to the carburetor or the throttle body on select models. This spring will close the throttle valve, which helps reduce the fuel flow to the engine and helps to slow it down.
The spring can become stretched or snap over time with regular use. A faulty throttle spring could be identified by the throttle sticking or lacking any control at all. This simple repair will require needle nose pliers, sockets, a screwdriver, and a wrench. Be sure to use gloves to perform all repairs and use caution when replacing the throttle spring to prevent damage to the new part.
