Description

This garden tiller recoil starter housing assembly is compatible with Troy-Bilt and Yard Machines brands. The starter housing consists of the plastic housing, an assembled starter rope, a spring, a pulley, a soft start spring, a retainer, a baffle, and mounting screws. It is easy to install. A drill or screwdriver will be needed to loosen and tighten screws. Since the rope is pulled to start the engine this type of equipment is referred to as pull start or pull rope. A failed starter means that the tiller engine will not start. Without a starter, the engine cannot crank. Starters can fail for any number of reasons, including normal wear and tear. Make sure to use only as much oil as needed for the tiller this assembly will go on. To properly maintain the tiller, have a clean air filter, a clean fuel filter, degrease when needed, use a fuel stabilizer in winter, clean and lubricate the tines or blades, and check and maintain the tires.
