Description

This crankcase cover kit is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer; it is used to service or replace the crankcase cover in snowblower and log splitter engines and other small engines. The crankcase cover provides an added layer of protection to the crankcase and crankshaft. This cover keeps the elements, dirt and debris from reaching the crankcase. During regular use, normal wear and tear, along with the elements, can deteriorate the plastic and cause damage to the cover. Damage to the crankcase cover will not cause immediate engine issues, but the damage will leave the door open for damage to the crankcase and possibly even the crankshaft. Replacing a damaged cover is much less expensive than replacing a crankshaft.This crankcase cover kit contains everything needed to replace the cover. The crankcase cover, crankcase cover gasket, O-rings, oil plug, and oil seal are in the kit. A socket wrench is needed to remove the crankcase cover. Remove the fuel from the fuel tank. Take the spark plug out and only perform this project when the engine is cool.This crankcase cover service kit is sold as one individual kit.
