Description

This is a .50 x 1.0 x .022 metal spring washer. It is designed to be used in lawnmowers, edgers, tillers, and other lawn and garden equipment that has vibrating parts due to movement or use. These spring washers are meant to be used between the nut and the surface of the attached part. For example, the wheel assembly bolt will have a spring washer installed before going through the wheel into the receiving nut.The spring washer will flatten out when tightened and dig into the surface it is attached to so that counter-clockwise rotation is prevented. This reduces or eliminates loosening due to vibrations. During routine maintenance, spring washers should be inspected to ensure they are intact and have not rusted or broken.
