Description

This ignition magneto coil sends voltage to a spark plug when an engine is not running. A defective ignition magneto coil can cause the engine not to start. Engines built before date code 101230xx also require a replacement Governor Arm. Sometimes a malfunctioning or broken ignition coil will have burn marks, cracks, or carbon tracking, which necessitates a replacement. Testing the ignition coil can be done by swapping it out for a different one and seeing if the problem resolves. A spark tester can also be used to determine if this component is no longer working correctly.
