Description

This is an OEM fuel tank cap that is designed for use with select lawn and garden engines. The fuel tank cap is designed to seal the fuel tank and protect the gas from spilling out of the machine while it is in use. This durable plastic cap includes a retainer piece to secure it, but over time that retainer can break or become damaged. The cap itself could also crack or break, in which case the part would need to be replaced. This genuine OEM fuel tank cap can provide the exact fit for select engines from Briggs & Stratton. It is compatible with more than 150 engines and is sold as an individual replacement part. There are no tools required to install this part. Simply slip the retainer into place inside the tank and screw the cap into place to secure it. Be sure to perform this and all repairs when the unit is cool and the power is disengaged. The fuel will not need to be drained but it will be important to be careful not to spill it during the replacement.
