Description

A diaphragm is made from a durable rubber material and contributes to the function of the carburetor. However, constant heat and fuel exposure can make it stiff and even brittle. When it reaches the end of its lifespan, it will no longer help the carburetor maintain the right amount of fuel before transferring to the engine. If the engine has too much fuel, it will produce an unusual smoke accompanied by uncontrollable revving and vibration. Continuing to use the mower with a broken diaphragm can lead to total engine failure. To replace the worn-down diaphragm, make sure to have a screwdriver and socket set.
