Description

However, if the air is full of particulate matter, it can sully the fuel and cause the engine to degrade. To prevent this, manufacturers install an air filter to catch dust and debris. This is a pre-filter that adds a second layer of protection for the carburetor. After a few months of regular use, an air filter will usually have reached its maximum capacity.
