Description

This air cleaner gasket keeps air from leaking out. It seals the carburetor's top and air cleaner base together, preventing debris that may enter underneath the cleaner and completely bypass the filter. The carburetor needs clean air to make the combustible mixture for the engine. When tiny particles enter, carburetor and engine performance issues arise like rough starting and flooding. An air cleaner gasket replacement is easy. Disconnect the spark plug wire first. Then, remove the air cleaner door and remove the carburetor cover using a nut driver or a screwdriver. Unscrew the fasteners holding the air cleaner housing and then pull the housing towards you. Use a flat screwdriver to dislodge the gasket at the back. Align the new replacement into the housing and reassemble the components. This air cleaner is a genuine component of Midwest Engine. This brand-new OEM air cleaner will work with lawnmowers, engines, pressure washers, wood chippers, and generators made by Toro, Lawn-Boy, Craftsman, Simplicity, and Briggs & Stratton.
