Description

This is a genuine replacement piston assembly for Briggs & Stratton lawn tractors. It is responsible for compressing the fuel and air mixture inside the cylinder prior to ignition. Several O-rings are used to ensure a tight seal for more power in the ignition.The piston assembly is made of hardened steel capable of withstanding an incredible amount of pressure during ignition. The O-rings and clips in the kit are made of rubber and PVC material also made to withstand extreme pressure and heat. Though not common, the piston itself can fail with extreme use. More commonly, the seals break down and require replacing. Our piston assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part, sold individually. It is compatible with many Briggs & Stratton tractors.
