Description
A spark plug is used to create a spark to ignite the fuel in the engine while the combustion process is occurring. As time goes on, the spark plug may go bad or become worn, which can prevent the engine from firing correctly.
A multimeter can be used to test a spark plug for continuity. It’s also important to visually inspect the plug for corrosion, cracks, or damage. If continuity is not present or the spark plug is damaged, it will need to be replaced. This can be done by removing the engine cover and taking off the spark plug boot. At this point, a socket can be used to loosen the spark plug enough to remove it. The new replacement spark plug can be installed before replacing the boot and covering the engine.
This is a genuine OEM replacement part by Briggs & Stratton. It is also compatible with lawnmowers, snowblowers, pressure washers, lawn tractors, generators, leaf blowers, and tillers by Husqvarna, Toro, MTD, Simplicity, Murray, Cub Cadet, and Lawn-Boy. It is sold individually.
