Kenmore Microwave 721.8821980 (7218821980, 721 8821980) Parts

This is a truss-head tapping screw used to secure trim, panels, and small assemblies on compatible LG appliances. It provides a low-profile, wide-bearing head that helps hold parts flush and resist pull-through. What it does:

• Fastens plastic and sheet-metal components where a self-tapping thread is needed
• Truss head spreads load to prevent damage to soft or thin materials
• Helps secure control panels, brackets, or trim pieces that require a low-profile head
• Common replacement when original mounting screws are missing, stripped, or corroded

• One truss-head tapping screw

• Use the correct screwdriver bit and moderate torque to avoid stripping the screw or workpiece
• Start threading straight and let the screw form threads without forcing at an angle
• Disconnect power and follow appliance-specific service safety procedures before working internally
• Replace any damaged mating threads or clips for a secure fit

Truss head tapping screw secures panels, brackets, and covers in appliances. Replaces missing or damaged fasteners to restore snug fit and alignment.
