Truss head tapping screw secures panels, brackets, and covers in appliances. Replaces missing or damaged fasteners to restore snug fit and alignment.

A Tap-Tite binding-head screw used to fasten appliance panels and components where a self-tapping metal thread is required. Replaces missing or damaged fasteners to restore secure assembly and reduce vibration or rattling. What it does:

• Creates its own mating thread in thin sheet metal for a secure hold without a nut.
• Holds panels, brackets, and trim in place to prevent looseness or movement.
• Commonly used where stripped, missing, or broken screws cause rattling, misalignment, or parts that won't stay attached.
• Compatible with standard screwdrivers or nut drivers sized to the binding-head.

• Disconnect power and unplug the appliance before working on it.
• Use the correct driver bit to avoid cam-out or head damage.
• Start straight and apply steady pressure; avoid overtightening to prevent stripping the formed threads.
• If the original hole is badly damaged, assess for repair or use of a larger fastener as needed.
