The Magnetron Thermostat is an OEM part for LG microwaves and built-in ranges. Its primary function is to monitor the temperature and ensure that it remains within a safe operating range. This OEM LG part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You High temperature thermostat went bad after running self clean function   John V. • Longmont , CO • September 09, 2014

Did some Google searches and most comments concerning this issue on LG stoves indicated the high temperature thermostat malfunctions when using the self cleaning function. This malfunction causes complete loss of power for the entire stove and locks the oven door. Since I wasn't completely sure if it was the thermostat or where it was for that matter, I called a service tech to troubleshoot the stove. He was able to determine it was the thermostat and further tested his findings by... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Very noisy convection fan   Daniel P. • Tampa , FL • June 08, 2019

Ordered a new convection fan motor and blade. Had to remove current blade from inside oven, then remove back panels (yes, it took two to get to the fan motor), and replaced the motor. Old motor well past shot. Had been noisy for about 3-4 weeks, but our kitchen was being remodeled, so we let it slide. Once it was clear how to remove back panel, the job was easy. Took about $100 and 2 hours of my time, but the oven convection fan is running silently again. Have not installed the new fan... Read more

The stove had previously been displaying 'PF' on the display, and randomly loosing power. Replacement of the power supply PCB restored function.
