Ordered a new convection fan motor and blade. Had to remove current blade from inside oven, then remove back panels (yes, it took two to get to the fan motor), and replaced the motor. Old motor well past shot. Had been noisy for about 3-4 weeks, but our kitchen was being remodeled, so we let it slide. Once it was clear how to remove back panel, the job was easy. This is a 6-inch radiant heating element rated at 1200 watts that sits beneath the glass cooktop surface on an electric range. It provides heat for smaller burners used in everyday cooking. Replace this element if the burner fails to heat, heats unevenly, or does not respond when turned on.
It was very easy to find the part we needed, I put the model number in and it showed all the parts. Picked the broken buner, ordered it and was amazed, it came the next day. This part is the radiant heater intended for use on ranges. This part is also referred to as a surface element. It supplies the heat required to cook food. This particular radiant heater is the largest element on the cooktop. In the event that the burner is not heating up, this part may need to be replaced as there could be an element that is burned out. It may begin to heat up but won't get hot enough to cook correctly. The cook may also notice that the element does not cook evenly. There could also be physical signs of damage. Fix a range showing 'PF' error, no display, or randomly losing power with this power supply control board. Restores igniter and touchpad function.
The stove had previously been displaying 'PF' on the display, and randomly loosing power. Replacement of the power supply PCB restored function. As a side note, a loose wire was also found at the junction connector for the power cord behind the lower back panel. Possibly the loose wire intermittently interrupting power killed the power supply. Easy fix, and not too expensive. Read more
