Oven won't heat or reach proper temperature? This heating element restores heat generation. DIY repair takes about 30 minutes with basic tools.
Pulled range out. Unplugged unit. Removed four phillips head screws. Unplugged two wires from element. Opened range door and removed two phillips head screws from back of range that held element. Removed two phillips head screws from range ceiling that held the element up. Installed new element with the four screws and replaced the two wires to the element in the back of range and replaced screws, slid range back in place and turned the range on to burn off element and started cooking. First I TURNED OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER TO THE OVEN. I opened the back of the oven to gain access to the pc board. I then took photos of the wiring connections before I unplugged all the wiring. I then removed the PC board from the oven and replaced it with the new one. Read more
