Drain hose was leaking Haide H. • Chatham Township , NJ • May 01, 2017
The video was very helpful. the hardest part is getting off old rusted parts. I had to use a hacksaw to remove one of the old clamps. I had to open the bottom of the washing machine to remove of the other clamp. Putting the new parts on was easy. Getting everything apart was a challenge. Putting the new parts on was an easy 5 minute job.

This float switch detects rising water in the refrigerator drain pan or lower cabinet area and signals the appliance control to help prevent overflow and water damage. Use it to replace a failed or intermittent water-level sensor. What it does:
- Senses high water level in the drain pan or collection area and closes the circuit to alert the control.
- Helps identify causes of leaks and pooling under or behind the appliance.
- Commonly used when symptoms include water on the floor, drip pan overflow, or water-related error/alert conditions.
- Matches OEM function for refrigeration units that include a float-based water-detection circuit.
What's included: One float switch. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repairs; shut off the water supply if working near water lines.
- Access may require removing lower kick plate or back panel; handle plastic clips and fasteners carefully.
- Disconnect electrical connector gently and note orientation before installing the replacement; secure wiring and verify float moves freely.
- Restore power and run a short test cycle or simulate water level to ensure proper operation.

Replaced a knob on the dishwasher lock handle David M. • Chattanooga , TN • September 08, 2015
The new one slid right on easily. It didn't come with a screw but the threads are the same as the screws that are used for putting in light switches so all you need to do is either get a short one or trim a light switch or outlet screw down to size.

This float stem is part of the dishwasher's water-level/overfill system. It guides the tub float and actuates the float switch so the unit fills correctly and shuts off on time. Replace a worn or broken stem to restore reliable fill protection.
- Connects the float to the switch mechanism beneath the tub
- Provides smooth vertical travel of the float through the opening
- Triggers the float switch to stop filling at the proper level
- Causes symptoms such as no fill, continuous filling/overfilling, a stuck or wobbly float, or intermittent fill issues
What's included: 1 float stem Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker and shut off the water supply before servicing
- Remove the lower rack; lift off the float cap from inside the tub
- On some models, release the retainer/clip from beneath the tub; pull out the old stem
- Guide the new stem through the opening and ensure it engages the float switch lever; confirm the float moves freely and actuates the switch before restoring power
