The bearing on the dryer drum wore out so bad the ball fell off Thomas J. • Green Bay , WI • October 31, 2016
I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new.

Ordered the replacement switch and installed. The install was very easy and the heating element is working fine. Wife was already looking for a new cooktop but I was able to fix the problem at 1/8th the cost of a new one.
