This is the rear section of the dryer drum that forms the back wall of the tumbling chamber. It supports the drum structure and works with the front panel and drum seal to contain clothes during the drying cycle. Replace this part if it is cracked, warped, or damaged, which can cause unusual noises, poor tumbling performance, or air leaks that reduce drying efficiency.

I spoke with the experts at parts pro and they suspected the main power board. I ordered the main power board along with the control panel. Since I was taking everything apart I decided to replace other components as well- thermostats, thermistor , sensor wire. When I was all done the old LG was back to working like new.
