Elaine M West Hartford , CT February 09, 2015 Appliance: Model KENMORE STACKABLE DRYER #81282 Sears was unable to install dryer due to cord's short length Sears delivered stackable full size washer/dryer which they were unable to install. The dryer required an 8 ft., 3 prong cord which is not sold through Sears or big box stores, and they were unable to help in locating one. After a couple of hours of online searching, I found Appliance Parts Pros. I checked the town's electrical code, site reviews and BBB and then ordered the 10 ft. cord that arrived within a few days. Voila! Sears' crew returned, and the installation was completed. The 10' cord was ten dollars less than the one returned to Sears for a refund. Jim W Little Rock , AR June 26, 2016 The power water & drain were installed in the wrong wall in the laundry room the placement of the w & d by these outlets made the room very cramped & difficult to use Extra long Dryer cord. double the length of the washer hoses by a male all thread between two hoses. Moved the W & D 90 deg. from the long wall to the short wall, which was exactly long enough to fit in a W & D. And then installed a dryer vent (through a brick wall), which they had never bothered to do when the house was built. Also installed brass shut off ball valves at the water supply. (Cutting through the brick wall was the time consuming part of the project) Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
