Description

This fan and limit control regulates furnace blower operation and provides a safety high-limit cutout to help prevent overheating. It replaces a failed control to restore normal blower cycling and overheat protection. What it does:
  • Senses heat and energizes the blower on warm-up, then shuts the blower off as the heat exchanger cools
  • Opens the circuit at a high temperature to stop the burner if the furnace overheats
  • Commonly used when the blower won't turn on, runs continuously, or the furnace overheats
  • Works as the temperature-activated switching and safety control in forced-air furnaces
