Michael S Denver , CO March 23, 2014 The spark igniter for my gas range top no longer functioned. By removing the burner pans and center grill (which all needed cleaning anyway) I removed the cover to the spark igniter with a screwdriver. Because of the number of different wires I got a piece of paper and drew a quick picture of the back of the igniter showing the location of each wire connection and then the identifying marks of each wire that went to which connector. I had two wires that were identical so I marked one with a strip of electric tape. Then I ordered the part based on the part number and model of range top. Unfortunately the part was out of stock and I had to wait two weeks for the part but I saved $25 on the cost of the part by buying it at Appliance Parts Pro. (During the wait I put the range top pieces back together and lit the stove by hand.) Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
