This replacement part is an oven control board. The oven control controls the main functions of the oven, such as turning the oven on, maintaining and adjusting temperature, as well controlling the digital display. If the oven isn't turning on or heating properly, it might be time for a new control board. Replacing the control board is a simple job. First, make sure the range is unplugged. Then access the back of the oven and remove the upper back panel. Locate the old control board and take note of the orientation of the wire connections. Remove the wire harness and any individual wires attached to the old board. Then secure the wires into the new board in the correct order. Snap the new board back in place, and reinstall the upper back panel. This OEM part is compatible with Bosch, Gaggenau, and Thermador ovens and is sold individually.

For Bosch Control Board (Part Number: OEM18988584)

Steve for Model Number Bosch HBL3550UC/08

About a year ago there was an error message on the display, so I replaced the control board. After that the top oven never heated to correct temperature, so about a month ago I replaced the heat sensor/thermostat. Now it does reach the temp setting, but takes 30 minutes to preheat when oven is empty. However, when trying to bake something, the oven never reaches the temp setting. Both upper and lower elements are working. The bottom oven is functioning properly.

Dan, Other than a set of "Torx" drivers ot "Torx tips" to remove the panel screws, no special tools are required to repair your wall oven. " How hard is it to replace this part ?" It's not that hard at all, the hardest part will be removing the oven from the wall. " The PC control module (relay board) is serviceable from the top access panel after sliding the oven out from the wall ~16 inches. With the unit pulled completely away from the wall, the following components are serviceable from the top after removing the top panel: ? Halogen light transformers, ? Terminal block, ? Power supply" So make sure you remove power to the wall oven before you start . " To access the PC control module, pull the unit out from the wall 15-16 inches, and remove the access panel (3 T20 screws) on the top of the unit."
