For Bosch Control Unit (Part Number: OEM15920262)

Kent for Model Number Bosch SHE3AR52UC/18

I have had this dishwasher about five years. There was a local lightning strike a few days ago. Since then, the lights on the control panel just blinked. I turned the unit off and back on again (and reset the breaker) and now the "Rinse Aid" light just flashes. No other button press or combination does anything -- just that light. I filled the rinsing agent dispenser just to see if that would help but it does not. Is this repairable economically?

Kent, This issue sounds like the control unit on the machine has been damaged and would need to be replaced.

Thomas, as the drain pump is new and the hoses have been cleared, the most likely possibility is that the main control is not properly sensing the return voltage from the drain pump.

Hello Xuesheng, This is either going to be caused by a low water fill of a lack of water circulation. You should fill the unit and make sure there is water visible in the bottom and check the filters to be sure none are clogged. There is a fine filter that should be cleaned out periodically or water circulation will be hampered. If these are clear, make sure the gaskets at the feed tube that supplies water for the center spray arm are present and intact. You may need to replace the water valve in the case of a low water fill and you may need to disassemble the pump assembly to verify the impeller is operating properly.

Dishwasher will start sometimes and run a complete cycle. It sometimes starts and only runs for a few minutes like it is ending a cycle then the clean light comes on- dishes have not been cleaned unit has not cycled. We can leave it alone or someone else can hit the button and it will decide to work. Any idea what is causing this or how to test to see what the problem is and how to fix it. The unit is 2-3 years old I think. Thanks, Stephen

Stephen, With the symptoms stated this issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control unit on the unit.

Richard, If there is programming needed to the board when it is replaced then there should be a service sheet that comes with the part to tell you how to do this.
