Lynn September 30, 2016 for Model Number HBL5451UC/01 Hi - This a Bosch convection where the only heating element is the top broiler element. Last night my husband went to broil and he set it to "broil hi" on the left and then "self clean" on the right by accident. After about 10 minutes, he figured out his mistake and switched to broil on the right. But now the element won't heat up at all. It makes the clicking sound, but no heat. Is 000435178 the right replacement part? Any reason we can't do this ourselves?
1 Answer Lynn, The broil element on this unit will be part number 10024579 and you should be able to install it. you will want to make sure that you turn the power off to the unit. It would be recommended to check the heating element first to make sure that it is good. If it checks ok then the control would be the issue. Read More...

Confused June 17, 2011 for Model Number hbl 546 a uc Where is the entry to replace the bottom element? Do I need to take the oven out of the wall or is the access through the front?
1 Answer Hello! Here is some information regarding the installation of bake elements, hope it helps! You will need to unplug the range. Remove the oven racks. In the back of the electric range, there are two screws that hold on a bake element. Remove these two screws and gently pull the element towards the door opening. Remove the wires from the bake element one at a time. You may need to use long nosed pliers to remove the wires. Be careful that the wiring doesn't fall back through the back of the oven. Once the wires have been removed, discard the old element and replace it with the new one. Once the new element is installed, plug the unit back in and test. Read More...

John March 31, 2011 for Model Number HBL645 AUC Please let me know if this is the part I need. The oven does not heat up in convection bake mode. It does heat up to temperature when put on broil and seems to heat up a little when placed in bake mode only (not convection). It will also do a self clean ok. Do I need to remove the unit to replace this part. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello John. You will need to test the elements and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Here is the correct part number for the convection element 00241778. Hope this helps. Read More...
