Ronald July 10, 2014 for Model Number Thermador built in oven C301 I bought the broil heat element and replaced it. This was very easy. After getting installed, the element new element did not work so I checked to see if I was getting power to the element with my meter. I am getting power. Could it be a bad element? Looked it over really close no breaks looks great so what should I check next.
1 Answer Ronald, If you are getting 240 vac to the element but it is still not coming on, the issue will be with a bad element. Make sure that when you check the voltage that you disconnect one of the wires from the element and check for 120 vac from the wire that you disconnect to ground and from the empty terminal to ground. Off each of these you should have 120 vac when the unit is turned to broil. If not then then you will want to trace the side that does not have power back to the source. In most cases it is the control board that is causing the issue. Read More...
