Questions & Answers

For Bosch Refrigerator Ice Maker (Part Number: OEM20922135)

Henry, with the ice bin removed, the lamp cover and 2 screws just next to the ice maker would need to be removed along with the lamp base and PCB housing once exposed. From there, remove the 4 screws located on the side of the ice maker section and top. This should allow the ice cabin walls to pull forward just enough to access the wires in the back which will need to be unplugged. This will allow the entire section to pull forward and out to remove the ice maker.

Peter,
There is a fan in your freezer compartment 00649619 that moves freezer air up into the ice maker compartment. If this fan is not operating or ice is built up around the fan and the channel is blocked it will take alot longer for temps in the ice maker compartment to be cold enough to make ice. Remove the evaporator cover in the freezer and make sure all your connections are good and no blockage is there.

John,

For this issue you will want to check to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to the water valve when the icemaker calls for water. If there is 120 vac to the water valve then the issue will be a faulty water valve. If there is no power at the valve then this will be a faulty icemaker.

Hello Jo,
The icemaker would still work without the "bail arm" but it will not stop producing ice when the ice bin is full. It will continue making ice even if the freezer compartment is completely full of ice. This is necessary to prevent over production of ice.

Manuel,

The red indicator will most likely be correct and we do not have any information on whether there would be green or red led on the unit. If the valve checks ok then this will be a icemaker issue.
